Blogs By Latinas

Hey guys. So I was surfing the web as usual looking for new blogs to follow since I really enjoy reading blogs and just reading in general. I came across the page "Blogsbylatinas.com". A while back I had submitted my Blog to see if it would be posted on the page. I wanted to become part of it because I think the concept is great. I guess the creator of the site was searching for any blogs written by other Latinas and her search didn't produce many results. So she created Blogs by Latina's so we could all have a place to discover new Blogs written just by Latina's!

Okay back on topic, so I was super surprised when the page came up and my blog page was on there! I am excited, I didn't think my Blog would be accepted since its so new. I can't wait to discover new Blogs by other Latina's and to make new friends!

I was reading another Blog that talked about having Internet friends and how this day in age its not as weird as people might have thought it was. I have met a lot of people online that have become wonderful friends to me. Who have been there for me when I needed someone to lean on, so I am all for making friends online. My family did think it was a little weird at first and they do ask me, wait is this a Internet friend or regular one. It did irritate me at first but hey, I figured it shouldn't bother me that much.

So I hope any fellow Latina's that are reading my Blog go ahead and submit your blog to this website. On another note, my sister gave birth on Wensday and yesterday I met my new nephew. His name is Emanuel and he is just the tiniest, cutest, baby ever!! I was so scared since he is so little I was afraid to carry him. :(

I missed Blogger!!!

Hi guys I am back!!!!! Ugh I have been dying to post but was going through some problems and really didn't feel up to anything. But I promise you guys I really am back. I have missed reading my favorite blogs as well as interacting with you guys through comments. So where do I begin. In the past weeks I helped plan my sisters baby shower, surprise party for a friend, doubled my workload at work, decided to move the wedding to a later date (My family won't be able to be there now and I can't do it without em!), redoing my bedroom, planning my trip to be with my fiance in the Dominican Republic (where he lives) for almost a month, GOT MY DRIVERS LICENSE! YAY!!, finally got my first Blackberry, ahhhh *catches breath*. And that's about the half of it.

I haven't been shopping as much but I have gotten a few things here and there that I am excited to post about soon. I finally found the 8 pan Wet and Wild eyeshadow palettes at Walgreen's and I am in love!!! <3  I definitely want to create some looks with them. I purchased 2, Petal Pusher which had purple/pink shades. I also picked up Comfort Zone which I am pretty sure will become my fave. It has neutral colors and ac few green colors. I haven't taken photos yet but I PROMISE I will be uploading soon. Okay guys so I will leave you with a few pix of what I have been up to, and I will be preparing posts for you guys later on tonight.

Okay guys so I have been sooo MIA lately ughhh.... I have been working so much and since I work so early and I am on the computer all day at work when I get home I just want to sleep!! =[

So I decided that I wont be doing the "Where I'd Go" posts on a set day. I will probably still do it once a week but not on a set day.

I am getting ready to leave to the Dominican Republic to be with my boo boo at the end of next month. I'm glad I have been getting so many hours at work because they will come in handy. I haven't been purchasing anything lately but I do have my eye on a couple of things....

Now I thought I might share my current shopping lists ideas. Everything I am getting is centered around my trip. I have alot of clothes at the boo boos house and here as well but I want to get a couple of fresh outfits anyways.

Well guys, I apologize for the lack of posts, I really want to post more often but it seems like there aren't enough hours in the day! My sisters baby shower is next weekend and now we are running around getting everything for that done as well... ughhh I sooo need my vacation! Alright guys until my next posts, ADIOS!!

Where Would I Go Wensdays...

Hey guys! Hope everyone is keeping cool in this 90+ degree weather (Jersey at least!) I have hardly been wearing any makeup, except for some bronzer, liner, and my Wet n Wild Lipsticks which I pat on my lips just to stain them and pair that with clear gloss. So I was trying to think of what kind of posts I would want to do, kind of on a weekly basis. I came up with Where Would I Go Wensdays... A bit corny but I love looking at different places and making mental notes for where I would go. So I am Dominican, and I just loveeee tropical places. I thought I would start out with a place in the Dominican Republic, so here it is.....

Bahia De Las Aguilas

Ughhh so this photo just takes my breath away, the beautiful color of the water, the sand.... I could just imagine it! So Bahia De Las Aguilas (Bay of the Eagles) is one of the most difficult beaches to get to. It is located basically in the middle of nowhere! You can there by boat or by 4x4 vehicle but it is a serious incline so if not experienced, better to take the boat! It will definitely be a long drive. I am always bugging the BF about wanting to take a week long road trip and just going somewhere we have both never been, this is definitely my top choice!. Everyone tells me it is worth the hassle getting there. It is actually part of a National Park so there is no development there. And you can actually go into the caves there and see carvings made by the Tainos that lived there years and years ago!

Since there is no development there, we would have to stay in Barahona but its not to far from this Paradise.... Here is a Map of the Dominican Republic. I am from the North West, San Fransisco De Macoris... Pedernales is allllll the way down, South East.

MARK Glowdacious Illuminating Powder

Hey guys. So in the summer I am known to go bronzer/highlighter crazy and at this moment its what I've been loving. So I recently purchased this one from MARK and I have to say I am in LOVE! It is shimmery but not glittery and I use it on my lids, lips with a clear gloss on top and all over the face for that GLOW. Its $12.00 and I have got to say well worth the money. I am dying to tan because I love bronzer/highlighter with tan skin. I know its not good to tan but... sorry?

Okay so my crappy pics don't do it justice. It really is a pretty highlighter and they have 3 different choices from lighter for light skin to this one which is the darkest and most shimmery I think. Its called Amped Up. I really like a lot of Mark Products. I am thinking of becoming a Rep. but I'm not sure yet.....

Anybody else try this? Thoughts?

Walgreens Haul / Randomness!

Hey guys. So I was at Walgreen the other day. My sister wanted to get out the house (she's having a baby at the end of the month!! =] ). I ended up purchasing some things I found on sale. I finally got my hands on some Wet n Wild Lipsticks as well as one by Black Radiance. The Wet n Wild ones I got were, a bright pink one and a bright red one

$ 1.64 for Wet n Wild each
$ 2.00 for Black Radiance

Pink One : 905d  Loveee this color. Super bright, it reminds me of the bright inside of a Watermelon ha ha. I can't wait to get a tan and pair this with some bronze shimmer on the face and wild curly hair! A bit of a Matte finish. I wish I new the name of this particular line of lipstick, sorry guys =(

Red One : 910 D  Again, I love it!! This will be perfect for those Summer nights when I go out dancing or even my honey! Cant wait! Again Matte finish.

Black Radiance lipstick in 5004 :  Fuchsia pink. This one is a bit sheer, but build able to the point were its super bright. Has a sheen to it.

I saw the display for the Sally Hansen Crackle but at $8.00 a pop I decided I probably wouldn't use it anyways since the only colors I really paint on my nails in the summer is pink. (All shades!) I purchased OASIS from Sinful Colors and I have to say I am in love!! Its a bright pink, with a pearlecent sheen to it. I gave myself a Mani-Pedi today and I used this polish. Its a hot pink and is a bit sheer at first but nothing that 3 coats can't fix! This polish isn't super thick in consistency so I was able do this with no problem!

Last I really wanted to try something other than makeup, since every time I purchase something lately, its been makeup. So I got a face cream. Its by a company called Andes Nature and it was only $5 bucks. Its an Antioxidant cream and it claims to be a firming. It is made with Cabernet which I think is Grape. Now I haven't used it long enough to know about the firming, but I love the scent, it smells like grape but not super strong or fruity. And its the type of cream that is cold so in the warmer months its refreshing. It hasn't broken me out or made me oily which I love!!! Best $5 bucks ever!

One of my sisters clients knows I love the Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lip gloss so she was nice enough to remember me when she went to the mall and got me one. Its in Red Delicious and smells just like apples. It looks like a pinker red in the tube but is clear on the lips with a slight pink tint. I love her, she's so nice!

So Today I spent 3 hours driving around with my sister practicing. My driving test is in a month exactly and I am so nervous/scared/anxious but excited. I still need to get the hang of parking. It will be sooo much easier to get my second job if I drive. My sister already gave me a car as well. Its not fancy or new but it was a gift so I can learn to drive in it, and when I have more experience I can think about getting a new car. My car is a little red Dodge Neon. I've been searching all day for some cute car seats covers, and steering wheel covers. I definitely want to add my girly touch to the car ha ha!

Let me know if you guys know the name to the Wet n Wild lipstick. I ripped the plastic and didn't bother to check =(
